Baby Safety Health Issues

You just can’t be too cautious with baby safety health issues. In fact, baby safety health issues are the number one concern of most parents. And with all of this talk about a pandemic, many of today’s baby safety health issues revolve around protecting our baby from illness.

Many baby safety health issues can be prevented if we control our baby’s environment, in terms of protecting the baby from germs. The best way to protect a baby from contact with germs is not to keep them indoors for the first three months of their life, as people often believed in the mid 50’s, but it’s in the simple act of having those who come in contact with the baby diligently wash their hands.

It’s hard to believe that such serious baby safety health issues such as whooping cough, flu, and a variety of bacterial and viral infections can be fended off with the simple act of washing hands, but it’s true. Remind everyone who wants to pick your baby up about baby safety health issues, and have them first wash their hands vigorously for 20 seconds with soap and water before they touch your baby. This kills the germs on their hands and protects your baby from germ exposure.

If your baby goes to daycare it’s important that everyone is on the same page in regards to baby safety health issues, and that everyone have the same diligent hand washing routines. When more people handle your baby, there’s more risk that she’ll come in contact with germs. But if everyone from Grandma to the daycare provider keep baby safety issues in mind and give their hands a good scrub before picking up your baby, you are more likely to keep your baby free from the germs that will make her sick.
